Nikon Ambassador, sports and commercial photographer, Dave Black shares why he thinks the Nikon D4S’s Group Area AF is the camera’s best feature.
‘There is no question that the autofocus exceeded what I thought was possible. To be able to track that precisely and to pick up the subject form a long distance away… and still sharp, it’s amazing.’ – Dave Black.
Nikon D4S’s Group Area AF tracks fast-moving subjects over long distances with phenomenal precision. Group Area AF mode constantly monitors five different AF fields, offering improved acquisition and background isolation when shooting subjects that are comparatively small and close to a high-contrast or distracting background. The five-point AF area can be shifted across the 51-point array as composition demands.

This is the strangest looking 35mm SLR that Nikon ever made. The Nikon Auto 35 (some were labeled as Nikkorex Auto 35) was introduced in September 1964.
I used the newest version of flickr uploader to upload this picture. Check on More Properties just to the right of here to see the massive amount of exif data it now shows.
